Longshot Promotions is an independent live music promoter based in Lancaster, UK.

We’re here to bring great artists, exciting live shows and proper nights out to Lancaster and the surrounding area — with a particular focus on indie, alternative and guitar-led music.

Longshot was built from a simple idea: there’s always room for more great live music.

We want to work with artists, venues and audiences to create shows that feel exciting, authentic and worth turning up for.

BUILT FROM THE GROUND UP

Longshot is an independent promoter, meaning every show starts with the same question:

Does this make sense?

We look at the artist, the venue, the audience and the numbers before putting a show together. We’re not interested in booking an artist just for the sake of putting a name on a poster.

The aim is to build shows that work for everyone involved — giving artists a great place to play, giving audiences something they genuinely want to see, and building strong relationships with venues and the wider music community.

MUSIC FIRST

Our current focus is indie, alternative and guitar-led bands, from emerging artists building their following to established acts with an audience ready for something new.

But we don't want to put ourselves in a box.

We have a strong interest in other genres too, and we’re always open to artists and ideas that sit outside our usual sound.

For us, it comes down to the music, the audience and the opportunity.

WHY LANCASTER?

Lancaster has a strong student population, an active music scene and plenty of people who care about live music.

We want to play a part in that.

Longshot is starting locally, building relationships and putting on shows that people in Lancaster actually want to go to. From smaller emerging-artist shows to bigger headline events, the ambition is to grow alongside the city and its audience.

Over time, we want to take Longshot beyond Lancaster too — building a reputation for putting on great independent shows across the region.

There are no years of history or hundreds of shows to point to yet — and we’re not going to pretend otherwise.
